  Best surgeon for knee replacement in Newcastle I had a knee replacement 10 months ago brilliant got my life back can't thank the staff and Dr Peter Berton enough

  Peter has now performed several surgeries over the past 25 years and each one has proven to be as successful as I could have hoped. He performed a reconstruction in 1998 which needed to be replaced 24 years later. I have now had both knees replaced and the results have been spectacular. I haven’t been able to run since 1983 and I ran, not far, but I ran for the first time in nearly four decades. Jane and Christine in the office are polite, efficient and professional. I would recommend Peter and his practise to anyone!

  I regret going to this surgeon & being advised by Dr Berton that an arthroscope would help with my knee problem. The surgery was a bungle & I ended up back in the hospital due to the pain from surgery & not being offered enough pain relief.
  In fact the surgery made my knee so much worse and 11 months on Im still on anti inflammatory tablets just to be able to walk certain distances. I am now seeing another surgeon , who advised that arthroscopes for people over 50 are a thing of the past & it is a known fact that the outcomes are poor. I tried to call the rooms of Peter Berton to advise my experience & they didn't even have the decency to return my calls .
  Overall I would NEVER recommend this surgeon .
  I would stay clear .
  I never put negative comments on google reviews, but this has impacted my life so much . I just don't want other people to go through this .

  I would,just like to take this time to THANK Dr. Peter Berton, for the time that he has spent with myself and with my Family.
  For the Advice that he gave, while at the same time for NOT giving up on myself or my knees.
  And also for not just Remembering myself but for Remembering my wife also, remembered our names and this was after approx 8yrs since last we saw each other.
  
  So THANK-YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!
